Traditionally, infertility has been thought of as a female problem. This presentation emphasizes the importance of approaching infertility as a couple problem to optimize the outcome. Approximately 15% of couples are unable to conceive after one year. The male factor is solely responsible in 20%, and the male factor contributes in another 30-40%. Parviz Kavoussi, MD and Shahryar Kavoussi, MD present the primary causes, diagnosis and treatment of female and male infertility, including vasectomy reversals.
