Josh McKay, MD, FACC
Dr. Josh McKay is originally from League City, Texas. He obtained his B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University and then went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. McKay completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he was selected as chief cardiology Fellow. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine. His areas of special interest include coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, and deep venous thrombosis. He also specializes in repairing small holes in the heart, called Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defects (ASD), without needing open heart surgery. Dr. McKay has authored multiple articles in peer reviewed journals and a book chapter.
