Jonathan Ginns, MD
Dr. Ginns was born in Australia and earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He underwent his internship and residency training at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and following this adult cardiology and adult congenital heart disease fellowships at the Prince Charles Hospital also in Brisbane. Subsequently, he came to the United States to pursue an interventional cardiology fellowship at Bridgeport Hospital, Yale - New Haven Health and then adult congenital heart disease fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
Prior to joining Austin Heart, from 2017-2020 Dr. Ginns served as Associate Director of Adult Congenital Heart Diseases and Director of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. Before joining Weill Cornell, Dr. Ginns was a full-time faculty member at Columbia University Medical Center specializing in adult congenital heart disease and was Director of their Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Program.
